A gentle 15 minute walk from Durslade Farmhouse is Bruton Dovecote, a 16th century limestone watch tower that was converted into a dovecote in the 18th century. A square building which is three storeys high, the interior is now empty with no roof, but you can see the outlines of the floors and the fire.

With 200 nesting boxes for pigeons it is often called ‘The Pigeon Tower’ by locals. An interesting landmark, the views over the town when you reach the dovecote are beautiful.
